I thought my artist talk at DSDI went well. There were about 8 folks there in total and everyone asked questions. I appreciated the engagement and used that as a sign of success. It felt rewarding to enlighten creatives to the importance of marketing your craft in an authentic manner. While presenting I didn't realize I was speaking for nearly 90 mins and my vocal cords felt strained afterwards.
Having always been interested in curriculum design I'm glad I got to test the public speaking waters on a topic I am passionate about. The team at DSDI told me they'd welcome me back for both a talk and a show. More opportunities to exhibit and educate are on the horizon and I am already loving how 2025 is taking shape.
