Exciting Exhibition News, Grants, and Art Show Plans: A Journey Through Creativity

Where to begin?  It feels like so much has happened since my last blog post and yet nothing at all.  For starters, I've had had some really good news come in.  I learned my application display my art at Meadows library was accepted and I was offered an exhibition (in display cases).  This will take place August - October of 2025.  Feats like this are really important for where I am at in my career because it allows me to add another item to my artist resume.  Furthermore it legitimizes my creative pursuit as a fine artist.  I can't way to attend the open house and learn more about this opportunity.

I also learned that I made it round 2 of the Playbook Imagination Fund!  There were so many submissions, I honestly didn't think I stood a chance.  But now my vision for my interactive art show and game seem possible.  I tried my damn hardest to be as through as I could be with my vision.  I had a busy week since October 12th when I learned I was accepted into round 2.  So I didn't get to create as many concepts for the game levels as I had hoped.  Hopefully my conveying of community impact, my passion to elevate my medium, and create a fun game will win the judges over.  To check out what I put together click the link here and check out all the components with my proposal to them.

While I am awaiting a verdict from the judges at playbook for the #ImaginationFund to #Imaginewithplaybook I've applied for grants with Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Hayama Art Residency in Japan, and a Call for entry for a juried exhibition with the Arvada Center.  I've been doing my best to stay in this positive creative frequency since my return from my first art residency.  There's much on my plate but this is what I asked for. Balancing rest and a new job I start November 1st may prove to be a challenge but as a joiurneyman in the arts, if I learned anything it's that I can handle anything.
